Chris Chase Studio is located in Richmond, Virginia.

Chris is an artist specializing in works of wood. Educated as a sculptor, he is passionate about the art of making. His work ranges in scale from small wood sculptures to architectural constructions and a good deal in between.

His approach stems from sustaining a tactile and visual engagement with an object.  Aside from wood and paint, the pieces are made of time and labor.  For him, the compulsion to build is central to the act of making. 

The studio is often open during the day. If the gates are open, that means Chris is in the studio. The storefront space is primarily a small gallery for recent work and experimental pieces.
